BALTIMORE, MD—May 3, 2016—Signal Hill, a leading advisory boutique serving the M&A and private capital raising needs of growth companies, is pleased to announce that Per-Arne (P.A.) Weiner has joined the firm’s New York office as a Managing Director. Mr. Weiner joins Signal Hill’s Software group and will lead the firm’s coverage of the Financial Technology sector.

“P.A. has a wealth of experience and is a recognized leader in the Financial Technology field. His depth of knowledge and success with both established and growth companies in the U.S. and Europe make him a great fit for our firm,” said Scott Wieler, Chairman and CEO of Signal Hill. “P.A. is committed to delivering the greater outcomes Signal Hill is known for and we are thrilled he has joined.”

“The Financial Technology sector is highly nuanced and changing rapidly with the rise of financial disruptors like robo advisors, non-bank lenders, and alternative payment methods. In a landscape of growing complexity and competition, companies need advisors with the technical knowledge to grasp the nuances and big picture at the same time,” Mr. Weiner said. “Signal Hill’s senior bankers are industry leaders in their sectors and I’m thrilled to have joined the team.”

Mr. Weiner has more than 20 years of investment banking experience, with a focus on M&A and capital raising for technology companies in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to Signal Hill, Mr. Weiner headed the Financial Technology investment banking practice for RBC Capital Markets. Earlier in his career, he ran Deutsche bank’s London-based European software investment banking effort before re-locating to New York where he founded and co-headed its Financial Technology group. He began his investment banking career at Alex. Brown & Sons Incorporated. He holds a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
